GIB – Gotion InoBat Batteries
Welcome to GIB – Gotion InoBat Batteries! GIB represents a joint effort of InoBat and Gotion High Tech in developing a battery giga-factory in Slovakia. GIB represents a unique example of a strong partnership between a fast-growing start-up with outstanding experience in project development and knowledge of the Slovakian context and the technology leader capable of delivering a full range of technology and scale-up manufacturing capacities.
The first battery gigafactory in Slovakia will be located in Šurany on a 95-hectare area and will create thousands of jobs. In the initial development stage, it will have a capacity of 20 GWh with the further potential to reach a capacity of up to 40 GWh. The targeted start of pilot production is in the beginning of 2026 and full-scale Start of Production (SOP) is scheduled for January 2027.
Our joint goal is to fast-track decarbonization efforts putting Slovakia and Europe in the centre of the green economy.
